Rainbow Art
I made some art using MSPaint and CSS hue-rotate.
Then I had an idea about applying it to an HTML canvas.
I’ve never done canvas before so I got ChatGPT to help with that. I got it to build it out in three stages:
- Basic three colour canvas;
- Fix the gaps between the brush strokes;
- Add the cloned canvases and hue rotation.
I was pretty specific about what I wanted it to do and a little about how and it did a good job with the requirements.
So now you can also draw your own rainbow art in the style of MSPaint. I like using the eraser to draw in MSPaint because the brush tool has anti-aliasing on it now ☹ so my app is hardcore square-brush only 🟥🟧
Btw, yeah, I’m down on ChatGPT abolishing the human voice but as a devtool, I think this kind of thing is probably the next generation of tooling and it has now saved me ~7 hours, so I’m bullish on its life-extending, economy-boosting properties, when used wisely. It’s called nuance!!
